The Hamilton Watch Company has a lengthy distinguished history in watch making. It was founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by a group of entrepreneurs with a mission. World War Two brought the manufacturing of consumer watches to an abrupt halt. All the Hamilton watches being produced were sent to troops deployed overseas. Over a million watches were shipped to army personnel all over the world. Hamilton watches also produced deck watches and marine chronometers at the request of the U.S. Navy and the navies of the Allied Forces.
