Blancpain Watches

Blancpain is one of the oldest and most highly regarded Swiss watchmakers in existence. Established in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, the company began as a small workshop in the second floor of Blancpain’s home in Villeret, Switzerland. It would take nearly 100 years before the Blancpain family would modernize its operations and become an industrial luxury watchmaker.

As a result of the Industrial Revolution in the United States, many smaller European watchmakers were forced out of business. Fortunately for the Blancpain family, they doubled down on their efforts to keep up with the times, building a two-story factory to replace the old workshop while also devising Blancpain men’s watches in tandem with the Blancpain women’s watch. By ramping up production and maintaining a product line of only luxury watches, Blancpain was able to weather the storm and come out even stronger on the other side.

Though Blancpain is well-known for its high-end watches that generally feature designs to show the complexity of the underlying mechanisms, it might be better known for what it does not produce. More specifically, Blancpain has made a public promise that it has never and will never produce quartz watches. In any case, Blancpain is one of the most sought-after watch brands, due in part to the fact that only 30 Blancpain watches are made every day, with each watch crafted by an individual watchmaker. Today, you can get Blancpain watches for sale directly from the manufacturer or through third-party retailers.

Blancpain Watch Collections

The Fifty Fathoms collection is one of Blancpain’s most popular product lines for seafarers. The famous water-resistant line includes such popular designs as the Bathyscaphe and Barakuda. Unlike almost any other luxury watch collection, Fifty Fathoms has even been endorsed by the United States Navy.

The Villeret Perpetual Calendar and Villeret Moonphase collections were both created for optimum functionality. With either collection, you get a watch that tells you the year, month, date, day of the week, hour, and minute. As an added bonus, any watch in these collections is also programmed to recognize and make adjustments for leap years.

The Leman Flyback and Leman Aqua Lung were created with adventurers in mind. If you want a watch that can survive the elements and keep you updated on the precise day and time, the Leman Fylback and Leman Aqua Lung are the collections for you. These stainless-steel watches allow you to have a luxurious, fashionable, unisex calendar right on your wrist.

Though watches in the Spécialités Air Command do not come cheap, they offer consumers some of the most elegant and user-friendly Swiss watches around. Primarily designed for men, Spécialités Air Command watches have a thick steel casing and a two-way steel bezel with ceramic insert.
