CCCP Watches

Few timepieces can claim to reflect the history of Soviet Era Russia like CCCP. In fact, CCCP might be the only major brand on the market to do so. The brand gets its name from a phonetic translation of “USSR” in the original Russian. In short, there is no watch brand in the world more dedicated to the history and prestige of Russia than CCCP.

The company has its roots in a Russian watch factory that opened in the first quarter of the 20th Century. In its heyday, the 2nd Moscow Watch Factory manufactured alarm clocks, wall clocks, clocks for cars, as well as wrist and pocket watches. However, during World War 2, the factory was forced to relocate and dedicate its work to the war effort.

Once the war had ended, the factory began producing timepieces again, this time under the brand name SLAVA. The brand continued producing and exporting timepieces until the collapse of the USSR in 1991. Since then, CCCP has taken up the helm as the best-quality watch manufacturer in Russia, though the brand has no intention of forgetting its roots in 20th Century Soviet Russia. Today, you can find CCCP timepieces for sale through affiliate retailers all over the world, as the brand continues to be known for its expert craftsmanship and dedication to Soviet history.

CCCP Watch Collections

Though all of CCCP’s watch collections take inspiration from Russia and the history of its people, they also offer completely unique styles and functions. The Aleksandrov collection comes in blue or rose gold. Both watches in the collection pay tribute to the Russian philosopher and scientist, Aleksandr Aleksandrov. Rather than using traditional watch hands, the Aleksandrov collection displays a rotating star in the middle, surrounded by hour and minute rings. These features work together to make the Aleksandrov one of the most innovative timepiece collections in the entire CCCP product line.

The Badygin and Heritage collections return to more traditional timepiece designs. Though they come in a variety of colors and styles, both collections rely on standard two-hand timekeeping mechanisms. Additionally, both product lines take their artistic inspiration from the Art Deco movement of the early 20th Century.

The Golden Soviet Submarine, Kamchatka, and Kashalot collections prioritize functionality. However, this doesn’t mean that they’re not aesthetically pleasing. Many of the products in these collections feature stopwatches, calendars, GMT functionality, and even water-resistance.

Like the Aleksandrov, the Shchuka collection reflects bold, innovative designs that force you to rethink the way people tell time. The signature timepieces from the Shchuka collection feature an eye-catching, four-quadrant watch face design that doubles as a calendar. A dedication to the Soviet submarines of World War 2, the Shchuka is also water-resistant up to a depth of 100 meters.

Finally, Sputnik, Sputnik 1, and Sputnik 2 are three of CCCP’s most popular watch collections. Named after the first Russian space shuttle, the Sputnik collections all pay tribute to Russia’s history in space. Every watch is marked with 1957 — the year in which the Soviet Union successfully launched a shuttle into orbit.
