Coach Watches

The famous Coach fashion brand was originally founded in 1941 as a maker of leather wallets. Based in Manhattan, New York City, Coach would change hands in the 1950s, leading to a focus on luxury leather handbags for women. The company redesigned its signature handbags several times throughout the 1960s, adding additional features like coin pouches, side pockets, and more varied color options.

Around this time, Coach’s lead designer, Bonnie Cashin, also began producing matching shoes, pens, and eyewear for her bags. By the late 1960s, Coach had become a household name. You could find Coach handbags for ladies in nearly every department store in the United States. By 1985, the brand was sold to the Sara Lee Corporation. This led to further growth in the domestic market.

While Coach continued to grow, the owners of the company shifted their focus to the international market. This shift allowed Coach to expand rapidly, entering European and Asian markets. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Coach would go on to acquire other clothing and accessory manufacturers, enhancing its influence and broadening its line of products. Eventually, this included wristwatches for men and women. Today, you can find Coach handbags, shoes, clothing, accessories, and watches for sale in Coach shops and third-party retailers in dozens of countries around the world.

Coach Watch Collections

Though Coach primarily markets its products to women, there are dozens of unisex and men’s-only watches in the Coach product line. That said, the Park, Madison, Ludlow, and Rainbow collections are some of the most popular models among women. All four collections feature bejeweled watch faces and minimalistic designs. The Park, Madison, and Ludlow lines make ample use of stainless-steel mineral crystal. The Rainbow collection includes some of the most luxurious watches of the group. Each watch in this line is distinguished by its beautiful rainbow coloring.

For a more unisex or masculine look, you can look for the Delancey, Classic, Perry, Bowery, Tatum, and Maddy collections. The Delaney, Perry, and Bowery lines all feature simple watch faces without numbers, accompanied by genuine leather bands. If you’re looking for more features, the Classic, Tatum, and Maddy have GMT functionality and easy date keeping features.

While the aforementioned collections rely on traditional wristwatch designs, the Scout and Swagger exemplify the modern appeal of Coach watches. Both collections are comprised of watches with small watch faces that do not exceed the width of the band. This gives each timepiece a simple, yet modern look. Though they do not have the same breadth of features as GMT or sports watches, the Scout and Swagger watches are extremely stylish and the perfect addition to both men’s and women’s fashion. Finally, the Boyfriend collection is wholly unique, as it is one of the most elegant women’s chronographs from any manufacturer.
