Fossil Watches

If you have followed fashion trends over the years, then you’ve likely come across the Fossil Group. Headquartered in Richardson, Texas, the Fossil Group was founded in 1984 by entrepreneur Tom Kartsotis. Multiple brands and product lines fall under the Fossil Group umbrella, though the company began out of a desire to make luxury watches affordable for the average American consumer.

Despite offering luxury watches for men and women, Fossil didn’t have the kind of name recognition or history to compete with many of the world’s largest watch manufacturers. To compensate for this fact, Fossil Group acquired the Swiss watch brand, Zodiac Watches, in 2001. Zodiac Watches had been a respected Swiss watchmaker since 1882. By 2007, Fossil Group had also acquired the Watch Station International chain of retail stores to help improve accessibility to its product lines.

Since then, Fossil has continued to create dozens of different watch designs for women and men, including mechanical watches, smartwatches, sports watches, and chronographs, just to name a few. Fossil also has a number of minimalist automatic watches for ladies, as well as larger designs for men. Today, you can find Fossil watches on sale online and in retail shops all over the world.

Fossil Watch Collections

The Gen 5 is the latest collection of smartwatches from Fossil. These watches maintain the traditional look of mechanical watches, but they include all of the features one would expect with a modern smartwatch. With a Gen 5 watch, you can keep track of your workout, make fast payments at checkout, and answer calls and texts — all from your wristwatch.

However, if you prefer the simplicity of a mechanical watch, Fossil still has plenty to offer. The Arkitekt and Forrester collections have a wide range of watch designs, from simple mechanical and automatic watches to full-scale chronographs with tachymeters. These are ideal watches for both men and women who live active lifestyles and want the kind of wristwatch that can keep up.

Fossil also manufactures dozens of watch designs specifically for women. The Hutton and Tillie Mini offer similar stainless steel casings with light or dark watch faces. These slim, 34mm watches are perfect for high-end events as well as casual, everyday use. The Classic Minute and Jacqueline collections offer simple designs with only time markers and Roman Numerals.

While the Classic Minute features a thin strap and bejeweled watch face, the Jacqueline collection has a more robust strap and 36mm casing. Finally, the Suitor collection takes the best of both the Classic Minute and Jacqueline designs. Watches from this collection feature stainless steel casing in rose gold or black, 36mm casing, and a medium-sized band.
