What kind of information do we collect?

We may collect personal information from you when you save or otherwise provide your personal information to us such as by setting up a user account and password, logging in as a registered user of, searching for a product, making an order for a product, providing information in your account (and you might have more than one, if you've used more than one e-mail address when shopping with us), interacting with us by phone, e-mail, or through our websites, mobile optimized websites, mobile applications or otherwise or if you complete an entry form to participate in a contest, promotion or survey, whether online or any brick and mortar location if applicable. We may have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers within the last twelve (12) months. Under the CCPA, personal information does not include certain categories of personal information, including without limitation: (i) publicly available information from government records; (ii) deidentified or aggregated consumer information; (iii) personal information that is collected, processed, sold, or disclosed pursuant to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (Public Law 106-102), and implementing regulations, the California Financial Information Privacy Act (Division 1.4 (commencing with Section 4050) of the Financial Code), or protected health information that is collected, processed, sold, or disclosed pursuant to the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and implementing regulations.

Genetic, physiological, behavioral, and biological characteristics or activity patterns used to extract a template or other identifier or identifying information, such as fingerprints, faceprints, and voiceprints, iris or retina scans, keystroke, gait, or other physical patterns, and sleep, health, or exercise data.
F. Internet or other similar network activity.	Browsing history, search history, information on a consumer’s interaction with a website, application, or advertisement.
G. Geolocation data.	Physical location or movements.
H. Sensory data.	Audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information.
I. Inferences drawn from other personal information.	Profile reflecting a person’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.
J. Sensitive personal information	Sensitive information means a consumer’s social security, driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number; account log-in, financial account, debit card, or credit card number in combination with any required security or access code, password, or credentials allowing access to an account; precise geolocation; racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership; the contents of a consumer’s mail, email, and text messages unless the business is the intended recipient of the communication; genetic data; the processing of biometric information for the purpose of uniquely identifying a consumer; personal information collected and analyzed concerning a consumer’s health; and personal information collected and analyzed concerning a consumer’s sex life or sexual orientation

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to [provide you products and services, process your application for employment, maintain our business relationship, other actions, etc.] and in accordance with BCI’s data retention schedule, unless we have or deidentified or deleted your personal information in response to a request to delete. We may retain your personal information for longer if it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations or reporting obligations, [i.e. resolve disputes, maintain an employment relationship, collect fees, etc.] or as permitted or required by applicable law. We may also retain your personal information in a deidentified or aggregated form so that it can no longer be associated with you. To determine the appropriate retention period for your personal information, we consider various factors such as the amount, nature, and sensitivity of your information; the potential risk of unauthorized access, use or disclosure; the purposes for which we process your personal information; applicable legal requirements.

Use of Personal Information

We may collect or use the personal information for one or more of the following purposes:

To fulfill or meet the reason you provided the information. For example, if you share your name and contact information to ask a question about our products or services, we will use that personal information to respond to your inquiry. If you provide your personal information to purchase a service, we will use that information to process your payment and facilitate delivery.

We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use the personal information we collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.

Sources of Personal Information We Collect

You. We may collect personal information that you provide during your interactions with us, such as through the Site, by email, or when you communicate with our professionals online, by phone, at one of our locations, or through social media. Disclosures of Personal Information for a Business Purpose

We do not sell or share your personal information to third parties. We also do not use or disclose your sensitive personal information for purposes that, with limited exceptions, are not necessary in order to provide our products and services and are reasonably expected by an average consumer requesting those goods and services. We also do not have actual knowledge that we have sold personal information of minors under age 16.

We may, however, disclose your personal information with services providers and contractors who help us provide the products and services, such as, payment processing, marketing and advertising, email, text and other communications, applications, business support, and website, software, platform, cloud, data storage and other technical services.

Ashford and/or third parties that we contract with may employ "clear GIFs" (a.k.a. Web Beacons), tracking pixels or similar devices, which are used to track the online usage patterns anonymously (i.e., in a non-personall0yidentifiable manner). In addition, Ashford may also use these devices in HTML-based emails sent to users to track which emails are opened by recipients.

Various features on the Website may allow you to share your information with others by publicly posting that information on the Website and/or sharing that information by other communication methods including (without limitation) email, Facebook, or Instagram. To the extent that you choose to share any such information it is no longer considered personal information and is not covered by this privacy policy.

Ashford’s website is directed for use by adults. Ashford does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Those under age 13 should not use Ashford’s website or provide Ashford with any personal information.

FOR WHAT PURPOSE DO WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION?
